Petter Hepsø is a young norwegian artist who, as is typical for the new and newest generations, works using different linguistic media, without fear to mix traditional media as sculpture with photography and video. His iconography concerns the animal world, having a long tradition in the art history, as also in literature, moreover in a certain sense Hepsø is closer to the literary tradition of Aesop and La Fontaine, also for his ironic sense of humour that shines through in various works, as for instance the work in which animals gather for a picnic with a real tablecloth on the grass and food as wine, bread and pasta.
